About me

My name is Marijn van Geest, I am a 23 year old product designer from Delft, The Netherlands, studying at Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Driven by love for natural materials and modern technology, I strive to create objects that mirror both.

Circularity is a starting point in my design process. Natural materials are the stars in my work, and I make sure that they can be recycled easily. I do this by not permanently mixing two different materials, for example.

With my background as a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Science & Technology, I approach design in a technical, analytical way, and I like to come up with innovative ways to manipulate materials, challenging both the material and myself.
